What to expect

We are all unique individuals requiring specific wellness interventions to reach optimum health. I strive to help clients through nutritional and lifestyle interventions and by using a whole foods approach. Together we will develop a Personal Health Plan that has the potential to change your life, based on scientific research that takes into account your lifestyle, wellbeing and beliefs.  

Before your first consultation

Prior to your initial nutrition consultation you will be asked to complete a medication / supplement diary and a 2 day food diary. This preparation is essential to determine your starting point. Using Nutrition software, I prepare a summary of your personal macro and micronutrient intake which we analyse and discuss during your first appointment.

Initial consultation

The initial consultation includes:

  • 60 - 90 minutes information gathering

  • Discussion of health goals and concerns, medical history, and any signs or symptoms

  • Height, weight and waist measurements

  • Food diary discussion and analysis

  • Any relevant information handouts and brochures to take home

And if required:

  • Nutrition supplement recommendations

  • Blood pressure

  • Blood glucose analysis

  • Urinalysis

  • Referral to GP for blood tests

  • Recommendations for functional testing

I can make some recommendations during our first meeting, however your Personal Wellness Plan can only be produced after this consultation and after any required tests are completed and analysed.

 

You will receive your Personal Wellness Plan in the follow-up appointment.

Follow-up and presentation of Personal Wellness Plan

Your second appointment usually occurs 1 to 2 weeks after our initial consultation, unless functional tests have been ordered, these can take a few weeks for results to be sent back.

If any functional tests were required, this appointment will be 60 minutes, otherwise, a 30-minute appointment is sufficient. You can expect: 

  • Analysis of blood tests and/or functional test results (if applicable)

  • Receive your Personal Wellness Plan

  • Step by step guidelines on how to implement your plan with personal goals

  • Review and discussion: adjustment of plan, if required

  • Further personalisation of your plan including new goals / handouts / recipes / diet plans 

  • Email / telephone support and accountability

After 4 to 6 weeks of you following your Wellness plan, we will have a phone or zoom consultation to review your health improvements. At this time further adjustments or additions to your Personalised Wellness Plan may be made, if necessary.
